In 2013 we were commissioned to complete a complex tender for 24 Hour Healthcare , a private healthcare provider seeking to win its first contract with the National Health Service (NHS). 24 Hour Healthcare had previously bid for, and won work with Local Authorities but did not have the experience, skills or capacity to complete the complex Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and then Invitation to Tender (ITT).
We took 24 Hour Healthcare through our 5 stage tender development process:
Having assessed the opportunity it was agreed to proceed with the bid. Following competitive analysis we identified 24 Hour Healthcare’s unique discriminators and structured their response around them.
In order to complete the PQQ and ITT we completed detailed financial analysis looking at competitors’ charges in order to inform 24 Hour Healthcare’s pricing strategy. We carefully analysed published questions and answers to ensure our approach was compliant and to try and establish competitors’ strategies.
Our PQQ was approved and the ITT we developed scored 100% on the quality questions, and achieved a high score on the financial questions. 24 Hour Healthcare were not required to pitch their proposal but we did help them evaluate the strength of the bid and areas for improvement on future similar tenders. 24 Hour Healthcare have commissioned us to prepare several other national tenders which they have since been awarded.
In addition to completing tenders, we help Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships and companies complete grant applications. For example, we assisted Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership to secure £6 million from the fourth round of the Regional Growth Fund to extend the Business Growth Programme.
